About Zentangle®

Zentangle® is the exciting method of creating art through the use of repetitive patterns.  The Zentangle art form and method were created by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas.

Zentangle is fun, easy-to-learn, and truly inspiring.  If you can write your name, you can create Zentangle art!
Did you enjoy coloring as a child? Did you stay inside the lines or veer out into uncharted territory?
Did you ever look for images in the clouds?
Wasn't it fun?
With the Zentangle method, you can recapture the joy of exploring your own imagination and creativity.  The secret is you already know how to do it!

My Zentangle Experience

As a scrapbooker, card maker, and general paper crafter, I kept stumbling upon Zentangle art and classes at some of my favorite stores.  I thought the images were unusual and didn't know what to make of them until a dear friend and CZT (Certified Zentangle Teacher) taught me more.  I learned that Zentangle isn't just doodling or an art technique; it's a transformative experience!

Through the Zentangle method, I immediately found myself relaxed and focused.  While working on a Zentangle tile, all of my stress disappeared within minutes.  I've explored yoga and meditation, and the Zentangle method gives me the same sense of calm and serenity that I found in these other practices.

I've used the Zentangle method to create a variety of items for friends and family, but the most important gift was the one I gave myself--permission to create, to make mistakes, and to grow through learning.

With Zentangle, I feel inspired and excited--so excited that I became a CZT in August of 2012.  I look forward to sharing my artwork, my experiences, and the Zentangle method with you.

To learn more, please visit the Zentangle® web site or seek out a class from a CZT in your area.  I offer workshops, home lessons, and clubs in Northeastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire.
